Hampton Roads Transit today celebrated the installation of its 500th bus shelter with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The new shelter is located across the street from the Historic Cavalier Hotel and Beach Club on Atlantic Avenue in Virginia Beach. About 50 people attended, including State Sen. Aaron Rouse and Del. Anne Tata.

NORFOLK, VA – Hampton Roads Transit hosted its second annual Community Resource (CORE) Fair today at the Newtown Road Station. The event served as a one-stop-shop to connect HRT customers and employees with more than a dozen community partners. At least a hundred people stopped by vendor booths located conveniently between the bus loop and Tide light rail station.
