On Board

HRT’s GoPass allows you to ride all HRT vehicles as many times as you want within a single day. You can buy a 1-Day GoPass or a single-trip ride when you board any HRT bus, light rail, or ferry route. Exact cash/change is required. Fare boxes do not provide change.

At Ticket Vending Machines (TVM)

TVMs are a convenient way to purchase the right fare card for buses, trains, and ferries. TVMs accept cash, debit and credit cards.

At Retail Outlets

Tide Tickets Online

Purchase all-day full and discounted rides for The Tide, Virginia’s first light rail system, from the convenience of your home or office.

Paratransit Tickets

You can purchase Paratransit tickets at many locations throughout Hampton Roads.

Fare Card Bulk Purchase

There is a $300 minimum purchase for bulk orders. Call HRT for assistance at (757) 222-6000.

GoPass365

The GoPass365 is a boarding pass that remains active for 365 days, and can be used on every transit mode offered by Hampton Roads Transit. Passes are purchased by colleges, employers, and consortiums. Learn more.
