Inclement WeatherSystem Optimization Plan Public Meetings and Pop-up Events
Hampton Roads Transit is hosting pop-up events and open houses for the System Optimization Plan (SOP) in March 2026. The dates, times and locations for the events are as follows:

Route 1: Granby and Little Creek Stop Service Adjustment
Due to traffic and safety concerns, the Route 1 will no longer service the bus stop at Granby & Little Creek (0169). Customers needing to board or disembark the Route 1 inbound must go to the Ward’s Corner transfer area instead.
NSU Light Rail Station Eastside Elevator Out of Service
At the Norfolk State Light Rail Platform, the eastside elevator (side closest to Wilson Hall Building) is out of service until further notice. Please use the westbound elevator on the opposite side of Brambleton Avenue (side with bus shelters) to access the Light Rail.
Route 9: Construction Detour Five Points
The Route 9 is detouring due to a construction at five points
