Norfolk Bayou Boogaloo
The City of Norfolk is holding the Bayou Boogaloo Festival, May 20-22, 2022, at Town Point Park in Downtown Norfolk. The Routes 6, 45, & 960 will be affected and will not service the MacArthur Light Rail Station bus stop on City Hall Avenue during this event. All MacArthur Station passengers must board/disembark at the Route 8 bus stop 6094 BANK & PLUME located in front of the Fountain Park Garage. The routes will detour as follows:

Route 18 Revised Grandy Village Detour
Due to the shifting construction project on Kimball Terrace in Grandy Village, the Route 18 will attempt to continue to detour as noted below. Customers should be aware that sudden blockages may occasionally prevent service. As such, customers are strongly encouraged to board/disembark at Ballentine Roads Light Rail Station until further notice..

Routes 1 and 3: Charlotte Street Closure
Charlotte Street in downtown Norfolk will be closed May 13 – 22, 2022, due to daily outdoor performances associated with the Virginia Arts Festival. The Routes 1 and 3 will detour during this timeframe. Customers needing to board/alight these routes must go to the Norfolk Transit Center .
Route 23: Princess Anne and Monticello Construction Detour Update
The construction at the intersection of Monticello Avenue and Princess Anne Road has been completed. Starting Sunday, May 15, 2022, the Route 23 will resume regular route.
Earth Day Multi-Day Pass Replacement
Customers possessing 7 or 30-Day passes (activated prior to Earth Day) who were unable to use them during the free service on Earth Day will be able to request replacement for the day lost as appropriate.
Customers seeking the replacement are directed to contact Customer Relations at 757-222-6100 and press or say the option for “Complaints and Concerns”.
Customers will need to provide the following information.
1. Type of Fare Card
2. Date of Activation
3. Fare Card Serial #
4. Personal Contact Information
After a short investigation, customers will be given instructions on how to claim their replacement. Please contact Customer Relations as soon as possible, as this replacement program will only be available until May 22, 2022
Route 9: Sewells Point & Chesapeake Construction Detour
Beginning Thursday, February 17, 2022, the Route 9 will detour due to ongoing construction in the Norview area of Norfolk until further notice
