Transit Services to End Early Monday

On December 8, in anticipation of adverse weather conditions, most Hampton Roads Transit services will end early.  Bus service will begin to wind down much earlier than normal.  A customer alert providing the schedule for last bus trips will be distributed this afternoon.

The Base Express will operate in accordance with its regular schedule.

Paratransit and ridesharing services will end at 8PM.

The last ferry trip will depart Waterside Ferry Dock at 7:45PM.

The last westbound light rail train departs Newtown at 7:20PM and arrives at Ft Norfolk/EVMC at 7:44PM.  The last eastbound train departs Ft. Norfolk/EVMC at 7:26PM and arrives at Newtown Road at 7:50PM.

The Call Center and all transit centers will operate in accordance with their regular schedule.  Administrative offices will close at 12 noon.

On December 9, the Hampton Transit Center and Newport News Transit Center will open at 9AM.

Transit service is subject to change based on storm intensity. Customers should expect delays.
