Winter Storm Service Update: Suspension of Service: Friday, February 21, 2025External / Legislative Affairs Committee
Purpose
- To assist in the development and implementation of current and future legislative policies and strategies
- To make recommendations to the full Commission for the adoption of such policies and strategies
- To provide guidance on the development, implementation and maintenance of strategies for HRT image-building, public relations, and leveraging of positive relationships with key external parties
- To advise staff on major public relations, communications, events and special programs
The Committee will conduct regular meetings on an ad hoc basis, meaning ELAC meetings will not necessarily be the same day or time each month. Meetings will alternate between Peninsula and Southside locations, and notice of meetings will be posted here on GoHRT.com.
The External / Legislative Affairs Committee (ELAC) will provide updates to the Commission on external/legislative affairs. Staff support for ELAC is provided by HRT Government Relations.
