HRT Hosts Annual Community Resource Fairs

NORFOLK and HAMPTON, Va. — Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) is hosting its fourth annual Community Resource (CORE) Fairs in April to connect HRT customers and employees with community partners.

Events in Norfolk and Hampton are designed to provide information about a variety of community resources and employment opportunities:

HAMPTON: Tuesday, April 7 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at HRT’s Hampton Transit Center, 2 W. Pembroke Ave.

Participating organizations include American Red Cross, Brooks Center, City of Hampton Parks and Recreation, Envision Lead Grow, goCommute, HOT 91 radio, Insight Enterprises, LGBT Life Center, RESET Inc., Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia, Silver Care Dementia Center, VersAbility Resources, Virginia Peninsula Food Bank, and WHRO.

NORFOLK: Tuesday, April 14 from 2-4:30 p.m. at Newtown Road Light Rail Station and bus transfer area, 5601 Curlew Drive.

Featuring American Red Cross, CSB Norfolk, ForKids, goCommute, HOT 91 radio, Next Steps 2 Success, Tidewater Winds, Virginia Beach departments of Housing and Neighborhood Preservation and Human Resources, Virginia Beach Court Appointed Special Advocates, and YWCA.
