NORFOLK, Va. – Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) has announced career fairs for the first half of 2026.
HRT’s career fairs provide in-person opportunities to learn more about positions that include full-and part-time bus operator trainees and full-time mechanics.
The public is invited to attend one of these upcoming fairs to learn about careers in transit:
- Friday, Jan. 9 (Norfolk and Hampton), 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Monday, Feb. 9 (Norfolk), 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Wednesday, Feb.25 (Norfolk), 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Friday, March 13 (Norfolk), 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Monday, March 30 (Norfolk), 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Friday, April 24 (Hampton), 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Friday, May 29 (Norfolk), 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Friday, June 26 (Norfolk), 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Career fairs in Norfolk are held at 509 E. 18th St., Building 4. Meet in the front lobby. Hampton Fairs are at 3400 Victoria Blvd.
Career fair participants will be able to fill out an application, undergo a brief screening and get an on-the-spot interview to determine if you’re the right fit for HRT. Professional attire is recommended.
