Take Transit to the Tattoo

NORFOLK, Va. – Taking transit will be music to your ears this weekend for the Virginia International Tattoo, Norfolk NATO Festival and Parade of Nations.

With closed streets and limited parking, eventgoers are encouraged to take The Tide light rail and Elizabeth River Ferry for convenient access to event venues.

The 2025  Virginia International Tattoo will feature more than 800 civilian and military performers from seven nations and will include a tribute to the U.S. Army, Navy and Marine Corps on their 250th birthdays. Performances at the Scope Arena will be held:

Saturday will be the busiest day with the Parade of Nations at 10 a.m. in downtown Norfolk and the NATO Festival international Village from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. at Town Point Park.

Heading to the Scope? Take The Tide and hop off at the Monticello Station for the short walk to the arena. Going to the parade and festival? Get off at MacArthur Square or Civic Plaza stations.

Tide riders can park for free at one of three park-and-ride lots:

Coming from Portsmouth? Take the ferry to Waterside.
