HRT Activates Snow Routes for Winter Storm
NORFOLK, Va. – Hampton Roads Transit will operate reduced service on Saturday, Jan. 11 due to winter weather.
HRT will operate on Snow Route schedules with limited, hourly bus service from 10 a.m.- 8 p.m.
The Tide light rail and Elizabeth River Ferry will operate only every 30 minutes from 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. Some light rail trains will operate without passengers to sweep tracks of snow and ice.
In addition, HRT’s paratransit service, OnDemand ridesharing and the Base Express shuttle at Naval Station Norfolk will not operate on Jan. 11.

Updates will be available throughout the weekend at gohrt.com or by calling HRT Customer Service at 757-222-6100 between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Jan. 11.
Regular service is expected to resume on Sunday depending on conditions. Throughout the weekend, customers are advised to expect delays and impromptu detours.
