WHAT: Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) and the City of Virginia Beach host an event to mark the 40th anniversary of the seasonal VB Wave Trolley service. The event will be a public celebration of the iconic Oceanfront fixture.
WHEN: Tuesday, July 23 at 10 a.m.
WHERE: 17th Street Park, 1701 Atlantic Ave., Virginia Beach.
WHO: HRT President and CEO William Harrell, Virginia Beach Mayor Robert “Bobby” Dyer, Virginia Beach City Councilwoman and HRT Commissioner Dr. Amelia Ross-Hammond, and other elected officials and business leaders.
WHY: The VB Wave Trolley service turns 40 years old. Those attending the event will enjoy music, giveaways, refreshments and photos with a parked trolley.
