Norfolk, VA – Hampton Roads Transit’s Southside Operations Complex earned a Gold Award from Hampton Roads Sanitation District for its commitment to environmental excellence.
HRSD just announced the winners for calendar year 2022 and HRT is proud to be among the recipients in the Pretreatment Excellence category. Gold is awarded to HRSD permittees who have shown perfect compliance, with no administrative or technical violations, for one to four years.
“HRSD is thankful to all award winners for their outstanding environmental stewardship,” said Ryan Everton, SSP3 Supervising Specialist at HRSD. “It helps us focus on our Vision that our communities will have clean waterways and reliable water resources for generations to come.”

This is the fourth year in a row HRT has won this award. The agency shares with HRSD in its commitment to environmental stewardship.
