Purchase Your Fare From A Ticket Vending Machine

Ticket vending machines (TVMs) are a convenient way to purchase the right fare — from local routes to MAX services, from shuttles to ferries.

Instructions on the TVM screen help you select the right fare and pay for it. The TVM will dispense your ticket upon paying.

HRT’s TVMs accept cash, credit and debit transactions.

Did You Get An IOU?

If a TVM on the light rail system fails to give proper change, it is programmed to issue an IOU. A valid IOU of $5 or less may be redeemed at any HRT Transit Center. For more information, please call (757) 222-6100.
