October 2025 Service Changes
Southside Service Changes
Route 2 Hampton Boulevard – Schedule adjustments*. Route 2 will also be realigned traveling inbound from the Navy Exchange Mall to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital via Hampton Boulevard to Brambleton Avenue.
Route 14 Battlefield Boulevard – Schedule adjustments.
Route 15 Military Highway – Schedule adjustments on Sunday.
Route 20 Virginia Beach Boulevard – The detour routing (effective September 28th) at the Oceanfront due to the 17th Street project will become permanent.
Route 21 Little Creek Road –Schedule adjustments and variant change.
Route 24 Kempsville Road –Schedule adjustments and alignment change. Route 24 will operate along Jeanne Street traveling to/from Pembroke East. Also, the cutback routing between Summit Pointe and Pembroke East will be modified. Route 24 will depart Summit Pointe and turn right on Volvo Parkway, right on Crossways Boulevard, right on Eden Way and continue along the existing alignment inbound to Pembroke East.
Route 29 Great Neck Road – Schedule adjustments.
Route 33 General Booth Boulevard – Schedule adjustments. Route 33 will no longer operate every 30 minutes but instead will operate every 60 minutes Monday through Saturday and Sunday service will be discontinued. The detour routing (effective September 28th) at the Oceanfront will become permanent due to the 17th Street project.
Route 41 Cradock – The detour routing (effective September 7th) from Crawford Street to County Street will become permanent.
Route 44 Midtown – Schedule adjustments. Route 44 will also be realigned traveling to and from Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Outbound from Sentara Norfolk General, the route will operate via Colley Avenue to Brambleton Avenue to the Midtown Tunnel. Inbound to Sentara Norfolk General the route will operate via the Midtown Tunnel to Brambleton Avenue to Colley Avenue.
Route 45 Portsmouth Boulevard – The detour routing (effective September 7th) from Crawford Street to County Street will become permanent.
Route 47 High Street – The detour routing (effective September 7th) from Crawford Street to County Street will become permanent.
Route 50 County Street/Victory Crossing – The detour routing (effective September 7th) from Crawford Street to County Street will become permanent.
Route 800 Light Rail – Monday through Saturday an additional trip will be added eastbound and westbound (5:27 a.m.) to connect with Amtrak service. On Sunday, two additional trips will be added westbound (8:35 p.m. and 8:50 p.m.) to connect with Amtrack service.
Route 960 Norfolk/Virginia Beach – Schedule adjustments and timepoint change at Newtown Station). The detour routing (effective September 28th) at the Oceanfront will become permanent due to the 17th Street project.
Route 980 Norfolk/Chesapeake/Suffolk –Schedule adjustments. The current 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. trips from Amazon ORF3 (Suffolk) will operate in-service and extend from ORF3 back to ORF2 (Chesapeake) to Victory Crossing to County Street to Downtown Norfolk Transit Center. Also, the detour routing (effective September 7th) from Crawford Street to County Street will become permanent.
Northside Service Changes
Route 101 Kecoughtan Road – Schedule adjustments.
Route 103 Shell Road – Schedule adjustments.
Route 106 Warwick Blvd. –Schedule adjustments. The current detour routing to Riverside Health Center near Warwick Boulevard and Nelson Drive will become permanent. Route 106 will provide service to Riverside Health Center Monday through Friday from approximately 7:18 a.m. – 7:04 p.m.
Route 107 Denbigh Blvd. – Schedule adjustments.
Route 110 Virginia Peninsula Community College – Schedule adjustments.
Route 111 Patrick Henry Mall– Schedule adjustments.
Route 112 Jefferson Avenue – Schedule adjustments.
Route 115 Foxhill Road – Schedule adjustments.
Route 118 Neil Armstrong Parkway – Schedule adjustments.
Route 405 –The detour routing through Newport News Shipyard will become permanent.
Route 415 – Schedule adjustments.
Route 430 – Schedule adjustments. Also, the detour routing through Newport News Shipyard will become permanent.
*Schedule Adjustments – Changes made to timing without changing the route.
