Planned Maintenance to Disrupt Tide Light Rail Service on 4 Nights

NORFOLK, Va. — Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) today announced that Tide Light Rail service will be disrupted nightly on Nov. 24 and Dec. 1-3 for scheduled maintenance near Ballentine/Broad Creek Station.

Starting around 9 p.m. on those four nights, the Tide will not operate between Norfolk State University and Newtown Road stations for the duration of daily service.

Bus shuttles will be provided to ensure transportation for customers traveling between the impacted stations.

Due to lane closures, HRT bus Route 18 will not serve two bus stops, 5440 and 5073, adjacent to the station.

Motorists should anticipate nighttime lane closures on Ballentine Boulevard near the train crossing.
