Preview the Tattoo on the Ferry

WHAT: Hampton Roads Transit is partnering with the Virginia Arts Festival to preview the Virginia International Tattoo and Norfolk NATO Festival with a bagpiper performing on board the Elizabeth River Ferry. It’s a media opportunity to capture some unique sights and sounds in advance of an action-packed weekend, April 18-21, when taking transit to the Tattoo – buses, light rail and ferry – is encouraged.

WHO: A bagpiper with Bagpipes from Tidewater Pipes & Drums and staff from Virginia Arts Festival.

WHEN: Friday, April 12. Please arrive by 4 p.m. for 4:30 p.m. performance.

WHERE: Norfolk Waterside Ferry Dock, 333 Waterside Drive, Norfolk. Board the Elizabeth River Ferry for the ride to Portsmouth and back. The bagpiper will play during two round-trip ferry crossings. The ferry will return to Waterside dock, though media are welcome to ride one way in either direction and from any of the two ferry docks in Portsmouth, High Street or North Landing.
