Hampton CORE Fair Rescheduled Due to Inclement Weather
Due to inclement weather and the potential for flooding, Hampton Roads Transit is rescheduling its Community Resource (CORE) Fair that was scheduled for today in Hampton. The fair will now be held on Tuesday, April 9.
Customers and the community will still be able to connect with a variety of resources including the Newport News Department of Human Services, Council of Community Services, and TRAFFIX. Organizers are working to confirm additional vendors. Check gohrt.com for updates.
HRT will also hold a CORE Fair on the Southside at Newtown Road Station. A dozen community partners are set to be there including YWCA of South Hampton Roads, Sentara Behavioral Health, Urban Renewal Center, CHAS Foundation, Norfolk Community Services Board, Childcare Subsidy Unit, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Employment and Training (SNAPET), Eggleston, Bright View, Minority Aids Support Services, Step-Up Inc., and TRAFFIX.
HRT staff will be on hand at both events, answering questions and providing information on services. HRT is excited to share this invaluable opportunity with its customers and the community.
