HRT’s New Program For Earth Day – Every Day

In celebration of Earth Day, and Earth Day everyday, Hampton Roads Transit is rolling out a new and exciting “Am I Clean” Campaign. The Campaign is designed to enhance our communities and the environment, and to engage and benefit users of our system. Bus stops, light rail stations, and ferry docks are the gateways to HRT’s services. Along with HRT’s robust cleaning program, the Am I Clean Campaign will help HRT identify areas that need immediate attention.

HRT wants you to help us enhance public transit. We have developed this new tool that allows anyone with a smartphone to quickly report issues from vandalism to trash to HRT. These real-time reports will help HRT address issues in a timely manner with the proper personnel.

To report your observations at a stop, simply use your smartphone and scan the QR code from the green “Am I Clean” sign located either on the HRT shelter or trash can at the stop. You will be automatically directed to gohrt.com/clean where you can follow the on-screen instructions to send us your observations.

If your stop has no passenger amenities — only a bus stop sign pole — you can still visit gohrt.com/clean and just enter the bus stop number from that stop to report your observations. If there are no “Am I Clean” signs on the passenger amenities at the stop, then the amenities located at that stop are either privately owned or are city property, and are NOT maintained by HRT.
