Route 3 Naval Exchange Detour

Effective, Sunday June 4, 2023, Route 3 will no longer provide service to the Navy Exchange Mall (NEX) until further notice. Route 3 is currently experiencing schedule delays due to the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel Expansion project along 1st View Street and traffic congestion along I-64 and I-564.

The Route 3 will continue to operate on 1st View Street between Maple Avenue and Oceanview Avenue, but the Route 3 will now operate on 1st View Street in a one-way loop. Customers needing to board/alight the Route 3 on 1st View towards downtown Norfolk/Duffy’s Lane will now do so at outbound stops or at Granby Street & Battersea Road (Stop 0048) and Granby Street & Government Avenue (Stop 0051). Passengers destined for the Navy Exchange Mall will be required to utilize Route 21 at Evelyn T. Butts.
