Newport News Transit Center Construction

Starting Monday, October 11, 2021, construction will begin at the Newport News Transit Center. The bus lineup for the transit center will be relocated for the duration of the four months of expected construction. The Routes 101, 103, 104, 105 106, 107 will line up on 35th Street (between Washington Ave. and West Ave.). The Routes 112 and 961 will line up on Washington Avenue (adjacent to the clocktower). The Route 112 outbound stops 2176 26TH & WASHINGTON, 2177 WASHINGTON & 29TH, 2178 WASHINGTON & 32ND will not be serviced during this construction. Customers needing to board/alight the Route 112 outbound in this area should go to the Newport News Transit Center via the Route 101 and 104.

The Routes 64, 121, 405, 414, 415, 430, 966, 967, and 972 will line up on Washington Ave. (between 37th and 38th St). Customers will still be able to access the transit center building during the normal operational hours via the entrance on 34th Street.
