Northside

Hampton Roads Transit has started the process of restoring its pre-pandemic service. As part of the first phase of the process, the service span will be reinstated on all Northside routes. Service span refers to the length of coverage throughout the day. Northside routes will start earlier and run later, but still under the current hourly/bi-hourly service frequency.

Southside

Route 2 Hampton Boulevard

The detour on Route 2 through Fort Norfolk  via Colley Avenue to Redgate Avenue to Hampton Boulevard to the Brambleton Avenue bypass to the bus stop on Brambleton Avenue at Fort Norfolk will become the permanent route. Departing the Fort Norfolk bus stop on Brambleton Avenue right on 2nd Street to Front Street back to Colley Avenue will become the permanent route.  Click here for revised schedule.

Route 23 Princess Anne Road

Route 58 Bainbridge Boulevard
The detour on Route 58 via Booker Street to Great Bridge Boulevard to Mains Creek Road to Mullen Road to Libertyville Road will become the permanent route.  Click here for revised schedule.

VB Wave

Routes 30 Atlantic Avenue, 31 Aquarium & Campground & 35 Bayfront Shuttle
Implement seasonal VB Wave service. No pre-season service will be provided on Route 30. Route 30 will operate via Atlantic Avenue to 25th Street to Pacific Avenue to 40th Street to Atlantic Avenue back to 3rd Street (Rudee Loop). Click here for schedule.
New! Route 34 Oceanfront Connector
Route 34 will provide service from Parks Avenue & 19th Street to Atlantic Avenue and 22nd Street via 19th Street, Birdneck Road and Virginia Beach Boulevard/17th Street. Route 34 will service the Convention Center, Virginia Beach Sports Center, Vibe Creative District and Atlantic Avenue between 17th and 22nd Streets. Service will operate on Saturday and Sunday only every 15-minutes from 8 am to midnight from May 15th – Neptune Festival. Limited Stop Commuter Service
Route 960
Run time adjustments. Discontinue the 7:50 AM trip on Sunday.
Route 961
Reinstate service span. Service span refers to the length of coverage throughout the day. Route 961 will start earlier and run later, but still under the current hourly service frequency.
