Sibyl Pappas is HRT’s Chief Facilities and Environmental Officer. She oversees environmental, civil engineering and facilities maintenance projects, as well as the agency’s efforts to improve sustainability.
Ms. Pappas has over 15 years of experience developing, leading and managing environmental and civil engineering projects for municipal, private and federal clients. Five of those years were spent as a Project Manager for Patton, Harris, Rust & Associates. There, she was the project manager on PHR&A’s Architectural/Engineering contract with HRT, managing diverse civil engineering projects including the HRT Headquarters UST Monitoring System Upgrade, the Victory Crossing Transfer Center and the CNG and Diesel Propulsions Study.
A bulk of Ms. Pappas’ experience came as a Project Manager for SCS Engineers, where she managed and directed multi-disciplinary projects including private sector assignments in Solid Waste and Environmental Services Divisions. She was also a Territory Manager for EPA Landfill Methane Outreach Program from 1999 through 2004.
Ms. Pappas received her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of Rochester. She is also a LEED Accredited Professional.
